We were delighted to present Lullaby by Luke Jerram in November. Two flotillas of over 150 twinkling bikes playing ambient music passed through the streets of Cheylesmore and Longford. In honour the Starley family, godfathers of bicycle invention, the bikes first rode past memorials in London Road Cemetery ringing specially tuned bells designed by sound collective Friend or Foe. The group was led by British Cycling and a Hail Taxi which was decorated by Avtar Kaur and community with messages of light and hope to mark Diwali. Together we celebrated Coventry as a City that moves together, a city of invention and innovation. See our gallery of images by photographer Kate Green below.
Lullaby by Luke Jerram was made possible with the kind support of the National Heritage Lottery Fund, National Lottery Community Fund, Coventry City of Culture Trust and Arup in partnership with Coventry City Council. We would especially like to thank British Cycling, Sustrans, participants and our team of dedicated volunteers.
