COVID-19 Policy

Keeping You Safe

Welcome to the newly restored Drapers’ Hall. We have a varied and exciting programme of events for you to enjoy in this stunning venue.

Guidelines for attending events:

At Drapers’ Hall, the safety of our audiences, staff and volunteers remains our top priority. We have signed up to VisitBritain’s ‘Good to Go’ initiative to ensure that your trip to Drapers’ Hall is safe, as well as enjoyable.

The health and safety measures we have put in place are below. If you have any questions or concerns that are not covered here, please email us at admin@historiccoventrytrust.org.uk

How will my ticket work?

The majority of tickets will be e-ticket or print-at-home ticket. This will allow you to enter our venue more easily, minimise the amount of time you may have to queue, and reduce contact with the front of house team.

What happens if I have COVID-19 and can’t use my tickets?

We will continue to ensure that you have maximum flexibility by allowing the cost of your tickets to be credited back to your account up to 4 hours prior to the performance – so if someone in your party is confirmed as COVID-19 positive or has symptoms, there is no need to worry.

If these circumstances apply and you cannot attend please contact admin@historiccoventrytrust.org.uk

Will I need to wear a face covering?

In line with current government guidance we will not be enforcing the wearing of face masks for audience members, though recommend that they be worn when moving around the venue, unless otherwise exempt. Seating in the Ballroom will be at reduced capacity and in theatre style. If you would feel more comfortable doing so, we recommend you wear a mask during the performance. For standing shows, we advise audience members to retain some personal distance between each other, if only in respect of others.

Will I still need to provide contact details for Test and Trace purposes?

The Government has said that they expect the Test, Trace and Isolate system will remain necessary through the winter but checking in or providing contact details to venues will now be voluntary. We have our track and trace code available at the entrance of Drapers’ Hall

Will I need to have my temperature checked?

We don’t currently plan to take temperature checks.

What are the social distancing rules?

We will continue to ask you to maintain a safe social distance where possible when queuing to take your seats and moving around the venue. You may need to pass someone to take your seat in a row – to mitigate risk we recommend wearing your face covering while moving around the venue.

What other safety measures are in place?

To help keep you safe the venue will be thoroughly cleaned throughout the day, including before all performances. This will include the disinfecting of public areas including toilets, floors, doors and furniture.

Front of House staff and cleaners will follow all safety guidelines.

Hand sanitising stations have been set up for your use. We ask that you sanitise your hands upon entering and exiting the building. All staff and volunteers will be wearing masks on performance days and are required to show proof of a negative lateral flow test or double vaccination.
