The Coventry Chapters at Charterhouse 1st July 2017

Events  |
July 1st sees two variety concerts in support of the Historic Coventry Trust. At 3.00 pm there will be a matinee featuring some of Unlock the Music Concert Making’s best performers, all of which are semi-professional or talented amateurs. The mood will be mainly classical, but there will also be some songs from The Secret Garden, as well as some folk music. There will be a little drama and some dance too!
The evening concert, which starts at 7.30, has a similar programme to the matinee but will also feature two special guest stars, Katharine Taylor-Jones (http://www.associatedstudios.co.uk/artist/kathy-taylor-jones/ ), a professional opera singer who has sung with The English National Opera and many other companies, and Antoine Mitchell (http://antoinemitchell.com/oriflamme/concerts/) , who has led orchestras in Poland, France and Spain, and is currently pianist and conductor for the Coventry Philharmonic Choir and who leads the acclaimed chamber orchestra Oriflamme.
A bar serving wine and bottled beer will be available.
Delicious refreshments will be provided by the The Little Vintage Cake Company
Tickets are £6 for the afternoon concert and £8 for the evening, and can be purchased via the UMCM website
http://www.umcm.org.uk/ or on the door.
