It’s more important than ever to re-connect with the nature in your local community, and you will play a key role in helping to breath life back into these green spaces whilst learning some new skills.
Come and join us for our online introduction to the nature team and the difference they will make, to hear about our latest plans and events that will shape the future of the Charterhouse Heritage Park. Historic Coventry Trust in partnership with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust are forming a new volunteer nature team to tackle a whole range of activities in the new Charterhouse Heritage Park. This will range from activities in the woodland, and along the river that runs through the heritage park.
Our online introduction to the nature team will take place on Tuesday 26th January 2021, from 6pm-7pm. Please book your free ticket via eventbrite.
There will be an introduction about the wider heritage park, and a presentation on what we are planning and how you can get involved!
We will go through some of the interesting opportunities that our Nature Team will get the chance to experience:
- Growing and harvesting fruits, vegetable.
- Foraging and fermenting
- Gardening, helping to clear weeds, seasonal planting and horticulture.
- Landscape management over the River Sherbourne and the wider woodlands.
You will have the chance to get involved with as many of these different opportunities, whilst working within a local landscape. By working within a dedicated and passionate team, you will help to deliver and engage people in our family friendly nature activities!
You can make a real difference right here on your doorstep whilst safely re-emerging from lockdown. This event will take place on Teams, the online meeting platform.
