Historic Coventry Trust have a new online volunteering opportunity! We are looking for a group of history loving volunteers to join our ‘Gates and Gardens’ oral history project. This project will bring together a small team of volunteers to collect and document memories of the City Gates and Lady Herbert’s Garden. The material gathered will be invaluable in preserving the more recent history of the gates and garden which is at risk of being lost, and will help to shape how Historic Coventry Trust will tell the site’s story. Conducted entirely online, the project will give you the opportunity to get involved with the City Gates and Lady Herbert’s Garden at an exciting time in the site’s history, safely from home.
If you are interested in local history, enjoy meeting new people and are passionate about preserving Coventry’s heritage then we would love to hear from you!
