Jennie graduated in History from Aberdeen University and went on to study Archive Administration at Liverpool University from where she worked in archive roles for Cumbria County Council, United Distillers and Prudential plc in London. She then moved into media relations first at Prudential and then in consultancy working with clients in the financial services sector. Moving back to her native Scotland Jennie worked in internal communications at the Church of Scotland before taking a career break and engaging in a variety of volunteering roles. Jennie and her family moved to Rugby in 2017 and she has latterly worked in primary schools before joining Historic Coventry Trust.
