Heritage Open Days sign at Anglican Chapel, London Road Cemetery

With the sad news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen and as a mark of respect, we have taken the decision to make some changes to our Heritage Open Days events.

At London Road Cemetery on Saturday 10 September, we encourage our visitors to visit this beautiful landscape at this sad and significant time in our history to reflect on life and death, and to deepen connection with nature. You can take part in one of our self-guided tours, and visitors are advised to visit the Anglican Chapel on arrival where refreshments are available. The Coventry Family History Society will also be on hand to support families in locating graves of loved ones in the cemetery. If you chose not to attend, we are understanding. Otherwise, we offer you a warm welcome. At Charterhouse on Sunday 11 September, we have taken the decision to make some small changes to our Heritage Open Days event at Charterhouse, although we will still be hosting (now fully-booked) tours. We will welcome our visitors to this beautiful site, associated with silence and contemplation at this time of reflection. More info >

We have events at the City Gates on Saturday 17 September, and Drapers’ Hall on Sunday 18 September planned. We will be reviewing these events early next week, and will provide an update on this website and our social media by Tuesday 13 September.

We may postpone the forthcoming Lady Herbert’s Beer Garden event on 17 September, and will provide an update on this website and our social media by Tuesday 13 September.
