Spend a day at Charterhouse, a medieval monastic house with unique wall paintings, immersive storytelling, stunning gardens and it's own café bar 'Purnell's at Charterhouse'. Enjoy a show at Drapers' Hall, Coventry's newest and most beautiful music venue. Connect with nature by taking a walk through Charterhouse Heritage Park, and follow the trails around London Road Cemetery: Paxton’s Arboretum. Rediscover your local historic high street at the recently restored Burges and Hales Street, or discover over 600 years of Coventry's history at the City Gates and Lady Herbert's Garden.

Charterhouse

One of Coventry’s most important heritage sites, the former medieval monastery is now open as the city's latest visitor attraction. Visitors can enjoy three historic floors of immersive storytelling surrounded by a halo of beautiful green space, and featuring the brand new 'Purnell’s Café & Bistro at Charterhouse'.

Drapers’ Hall

Opened in Autumn 2021, Drapers’ Hall is has joined the vibrant cultural landscape of Coventry. The beautiful venue plays host to a varied music and events programme befitting the splendour of the restored Regency building right in the heart of the city's historic Cathedral Quarter.

London Road Cemetery: Paxton’s Arboretum

London Road Cemetery is one of the most important Victorian cemeteries in the country. Designed by famous architect Joseph Paxton and developed not only as a burial site but also as place of natural beauty for the people of Coventry to enjoy.

City Gates and Lady Herbert’s Garden

Swanswell Gate and Cook Street Gate are the last remaining two of an original twelve gatehouses that once punctuated Coventry’s medieval city wall. Today, they stand in Coventry’s city centre framed by Lady Herbert’s Garden, as a monument to the city’s heritage.

Burges and Hales Street

Rediscover your local high street with its independent shops, restaurants and pubs on the historic Burges and Hales Street.
